Lecture with George Marshall

Science now has a good understanding of what climate change will bring in 2050. But we have far less idea of how it will affect the way we think and feel. Will we collaborate, cope, compete, or collapse? The future of humanity depends on this critical question.

Join us on 30 April, when University of Copenhagen and Actory has the pleasure of welcoming George Marshall, one of Europe’s leading experts in public engagement. Drawing on historical precedent, cognitive and social psychology and narrative theory, George Marshall’s pioneering analysis maps future outcomes and the ways we can draw on our most constructive instincts.

The lecture is followed by an open discussion moderated by Professor Katherine Richardson.

About George Marshall

George Marshall is the founder of Climate Outreach, and one of Europe’s leading experts in public engagement. He has advised over 20 governments, the major environmental organisations, the World Bank and the UN.

He is adjunct fellow at the Department of Psychology at the University of Queensland, and author of the acclaimed book Don’t Even Think About It: Why our Brains are Wired to Ignore Climate Change.
